PlayStation Plus Unveils Its Spookiest Selections: Top 22 Horror Games

This guide explores the revamped PlayStation Plus service and its horror game offerings. Sony's 2022 overhaul introduced three tiers: Essential, Extra, and Premium. While Essential provides online multiplayer access and monthly freebies, horror enthusiasts will find a richer selection in the Extra and Premium tiers.

The Extra tier boasts a library of hundreds of PS5 and PS4 games, regularly updated with approximately 15 new titles each month. Premium expands this library further, adding hundreds of classic PS3, PS2, PS1, and PSP games. This extensive catalog ensures a diverse range of genres, including a solid selection of horror titles.

Update (January 5, 2025): The December 2024 PS Plus Extra and Premium additions lacked horror games. Note that Resident Evil 2 will be removed from the service on January 21, 2025.
