Albion Online, the immersive medieval fantasy MMORPG developed by Sandbox Interactive, is gearing up for its next major update, Rogue Frontier, set to launch on February 3rd. This update promises to bring exciting new content and features to the game, and we've got all the details to get you ready for what's coming in the first big update of the year.
What’s Happening in the Outlands?
The Rogue Frontier update focuses on The Smugglers, a group of rebels tired of the Royal Continent's stringent regulations. They're now making their mark in the Outlands, a region known for its lawlessness. These Smugglers have established secret underground hideouts known as Smuggler's Dens. These dens serve as crucial hubs for banking, repairs, and planning your next adventure. Each den is interconnected through the Smuggler’s Network, a sophisticated system that links marketplaces throughout the Outlands.
The Smugglers have formed their own Faction and are embroiled in ongoing conflicts with the Royal Guards. Players can support the Smugglers by engaging in various activities, such as rescuing captured members or delivering contraband concealed within Smuggler Crates.
Loyalty Has Its Perks in the Rogue Frontier Update of Albion Online
In the dens, you'll encounter Maggy Slade, a dubious trader who rewards loyalty with exclusive items. Among the rewards are the Smuggler’s Vanity Set, a Smuggler’s Cape with an ability that reduces potion cooldowns, and a Smuggler’s Ring and Avatar.
The Rogue Frontier update introduces Kill Trophies to Albion Online. These trophies drop when you defeat another player, with the quality of your opponent's loot increasing your chances of obtaining one.
Additionally, the update brings new, stylish weapons to the game. The Rotcaller Staff allows you to summon a chilling mist-spewing form that repels enemies. The Skystrider Bow enables you to levitate and unleash bolts from above, while the Forcepulse Bracers send shockwaves through your opponents as you charge into battle.
