It's always disappointing when a beloved feature is removed from your favorite pastime, whether it's in gaming, on the tabletop, or elsewhere. However, today we celebrate the rare occasion where a fan-favorite is making a comeback! Conflict of Nations: WW3 is bringing back the much-loved clan vs clan battles through Elite Challenges.

So, how do Elite Challenges work? These are team-based battles where alliances can compete against each other. But there's a twist: participants must be rank 25 or above, and the use of gold, the game's premium currency, is strictly prohibited. This creates an ultimate test of skill and strategy for Conflict of Nations enthusiasts.

To celebrate the return of this feature, two challenge maps will be available: the Mediterranean and Antarctica. What sets Elite Challenges apart from other matches in Conflict of Nations is that players will start with double the resources, production, and access to the tech tree by day 10. This means bigger armies and more diverse use of technology from the get-go.

However, as Dorado Games has noted, implementing these challenges became increasingly challenging as their community grew. The fact that this mode eliminates the use of premium currency, leveling the playing field for all participants, is likely to be a major draw for almost all players.
