Artian weapons are a late-game addition to Monster Hunter: World, offering unparalleled customization of weapon stats and elemental properties. This guide details everything you need to know to craft and utilize these powerful weapons.

Unlocking Artian Weapon Crafting:

First, complete the main story and reach High Rank. Then, defeat your first Tempered monster (you'll know which one it is – the NPCs will highlight its formidable nature). After this victory, Gemma will initiate a conversation introducing Artian weapons and their crafting process.

Crafting Artian Weapons:

Each weapon type requires three components. These components have rarity, elemental type, and an Artian bonus (attack or affinity boost).

• Rarity: Components must share the same rarity to be used together.
• Element: The weapon's elemental effect is determined by the most prevalent element among your components. For example, two water and one lightning component result in a water weapon. Three different elements yield no elemental effect.
• Artian Bonus: Choose between an attack or affinity boost based on your preferred playstyle.

Acquiring Artian Materials:

Artian materials are obtained by hunting Tempered monsters in High Rank. These monsters are marked with a blue outline on the map. After defeating or capturing a Tempered monster, you'll receive Artian parts among your post-mission rewards. The rarity of these parts increases with your hunter rank. While there's no direct correlation between the hunted monster and the type of Artian materials dropped, hunt monsters you enjoy fighting or need parts from for other equipment.
