Author: Noah May 07,2025

To resolve the ongoing feud between Prochek and Olbram during the Battle of the Frogs and Mice side quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, follow these steps to achieve a peaceful resolution:

How to Start Battle of Frogs and Mice in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

To initiate the Battle of the Frogs and Mice side quest, you must first complete either the Mice or Frogs quests for Prochek and Olbram. Once completed, you can start the new quest by speaking to Prochek in Tachov or Olbram in Zhelejov. After starting the quest, proceed to the designated pasture.

Should You Side With Prochek or Olbram?

You have the option to side with either Prochek or Olbram, but there's also a way to stop the feud entirely. To side with Prochek, speak to him in Tachov and choose the option "Let’s get those Zhelejovites!" To side with Olbram, talk to him in Zhelejov and select "Let’s go and see those Tachovites!" If you choose to support one side, be prepared for a fight at the pasture. Passing a dialogue check during negotiations can cause an enemy to flee, making the battle easier. Winning the fight will earn you some groschen.

How to Stop the Feud

To end the feud peacefully, talk to either Prochek or Olbram before heading to the pasture and ask if they want to end the conflict. Then, travel to Troskowitz and speak with Baliff Thrush, selecting the dialogue option, “You’d finally have some peace.” You'll need to pass a dialogue check to gain access to the scribe’s room and read the Troskowitz Chronicle. If you fail to persuade the Baliff, you can sneak into the room, but remember to save your game first.

Once in the scribe’s room, choose the dialogue option, “Fecit, ordinem in regione ope clavi ferrei.”

Next, go to the pasture and locate three oak trees lined up next to each other. Examine the middle tree to find a nail. You have three options for the nail:

  • Leave it in the middle tree to split the pasture equally between Tachov and Zhelejov.
  • Place it in the west tree to give more land to Tachov.
  • Place it in the east tree to allocate more land to Zhelejov.

The choice of where to place the nail is up to you and does not significantly impact the outcome. After deciding, speak with Baliff Thrush again, who will agree to end the feud. Then, bring Prochek or Olbram to the pasture to successfully conclude the conflict.

Finally, speak with Baliff Thrush to receive the Master Studies I book as a reward.

By following these steps, you can effectively stop the feud during the Battle of the Frogs and Mice in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. For more tips and information on the game, be sure to check out The Escapist.
