Path of Exile 2: The High Value of White Stellar Amulets
Path of Exile 2's trading channels frequently feature high demand for White Stellar Amulets, often fetching 10-15 Exalted Orbs each. This article explains why these amulets command such a premium.
The Value Proposition: Crafting Astramentis
The key lies in their potential to create Astramentis, a top-tier unique amulet. Using an Orb of Chance on a normal (white) Stellar Amulet—one with only the implicit "+# to All Attributes"—offers a chance to obtain this powerful item.
Astramentis boasts an exceptionally high attribute bonus (+80-120 to All Attributes), synergizing perfectly with items like the Hand of Wisdom and Action Furtive Wraps, which scale attack speed and lightning damage based on attribute values. Crucially, only white Stellar Amulets can be used for this conversion; magic or rare amulets won't work.
To Sell or to Gamble?
The odds of successfully crafting Astramentis with an Orb of Chance are extremely low. While a lucky player might succeed with a few attempts, the probability is heavily stacked against it. Selling a White Stellar Amulet guarantees a return of 10-30 Exalted Orbs (depending on market fluctuations), offering a safer, albeit less potentially rewarding, option. The choice is entirely dependent on your risk tolerance.
Using the Orb of Chance
The process is straightforward: place the white Stellar Amulet in your inventory, right-click the Orb of Chance, and left-click the amulet to initiate the conversion. Possible outcomes include:
- Amulet destruction.
- Transformation into a unique amulet:
- Astramentis (the desired outcome)
- Fixation of Yix (a less valuable alternative)
The significantly higher likelihood of obtaining Fixation of Yix or amulet destruction makes the gamble inherently risky.
