GTA 6 Trailer 2 Sets Record as Biggest Video Launch

Rockstar Games has announced that GTA 6 Trailer 2 has achieved the largest video launch in entertainment history. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the trailer amassed 475 million views across all platforms within its first 24 hours - surpassing record-breaking movie trailers like Deadpool & Wolverine (365 million views), The Fantastic Four: First Steps (200 million), and last year's Superman trailer (250+ million), which previously held Warner Bros' viewership record.

It's important to note that GTA 6's debut trailer, which initially released exclusively on YouTube with 93 million first-day views, still holds the platform's record for biggest non-music video premiere. Trailer 2 has currently reached 85,276,196 views on Rockstar's official YouTube channel as of May 8.

IGN previously reported how The Pointer Sisters' 1986 hit "Hot Together" experienced a massive 182,000% surge in Spotify streams within just two hours after appearing in GTA 6 Trailer 2.

"Grand Theft Auto permeates popular culture unlike anything else," commented Spotify's Global Head of Editorial Sulinna Ong. "Music has been integral to the franchise since its inception, and it's remarkable witnessing both new and longtime fans rediscover this iconic track."

The trailer's release followed Rockstar's announcement delaying GTA 6's launch from fall 2025 to May 26, 2026. Industry analysts predict the game will shatter entertainment revenue records across both gaming and film industries.
