Rockstar Releases Bully Anniversary Edition Update After Six Years

Rockstar, the masterminds behind the iconic GTA series, have just rolled out an exciting Anniversary Edition update for Bully on mobile platforms. After a long six-year hiatus, this update brings a fresh wave of enhancements, exclusively for mobile users.

Rockstar Hasn’t Forgotten about Bullworth Academy!

The Bully: Anniversary Edition update introduces new languages and prioritizes stability improvements and bug fixes. Notably, Rockstar has temporarily disabled Friends Challenges to ensure smoother gameplay.

For Android users with compatible devices, the update enables Screen Space Ambient Occlusion (SSAO), enhancing visual quality. Additionally, the app icon has been refreshed, and haptic feedback has been added to both Android and iOS platforms.

Several mission-specific issues have been addressed. For instance, the mission 'That Bitch' no longer presents an impossible locker to pick for Mandy. 'Weed Killer' now progresses correctly even if you break the window prematurely. The notorious issue with police cars in 'The Rumble' falling through the floor has been fixed. Moreover, the update rectifies scenarios where enemies would not attack Jimmy, ensuring more balanced combat. It also resolves crashes that could occur when starting a new game or loading a save from the pause menu.

What Do Players Have to Say about Bully: Anniversary Edition?

The fanbase has been clamoring for Bully 2 for years, but Rockstar's focus seems to be elsewhere. Rumors of a sequel in development during the 2010s were dashed when Rockstar shifted resources to Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA Online. With GTA 6 on the horizon, the prospects for Bully 2 seem slim, especially with many original developers having left Rockstar. While this update isn't a full remaster or sequel, it's a welcome upgrade for mobile gamers.

If you're new to Bully, it's Rockstar's unique take on a schoolyard sandbox game. You step into the shoes of Jimmy Hopkins, a 15-year-old rebel navigating the chaotic life at Bullworth Academy. The game is infused with Rockstar's signature humor and offers a playground for mischief.

You can grab Bully: Anniversary Edition on the Google Play Store for €7.99, complete with full gamepad support.
