Earlier this month, Sadie Sink, renowned for her role as Max Mayfield in *Stranger Things*, was rumored to be joining the cast of *Spider-Man 4* alongside Tom Holland. According to Deadline, Sink, who first graced the screen in the 2016 biographical sports drama *Chuck*, will feature in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film, set to commence filming later this year with a scheduled release on July 31, 2026. Neither Marvel nor Sony provided comments when approached by Deadline, yet the outlet speculated that Sink might portray the iconic X-Men character Jean Grey or another beloved redheaded character from the Spider-Man universe.

In a deep dive by IGN, the potential roles for Sadie Sink within the MCU, particularly in *Spider-Man 4* and beyond, were explored. Fans and enthusiasts speculated on who Sink might play, with options including Mary Jane Watson, Jean Grey, Gwen Stacey, Firestar, or another character altogether.

Who Do You Think Sadie Sink Will Play in Spider-Man 4? ------------------------------------------------------

In a recent interview with Josh Horowitz, Sadie Sink addressed the Jean Grey speculation with a coy yet enthusiastic response. When asked about the rumors, Sink remarked, "This is news to me," but she also admitted, "The rumors are really cool though. It’s an awesome rumor!" She expressed her familiarity with Jean Grey, stating, "It’s a great character, so it was cool to read!" When posed with the prospect of dedicating significant time and energy to a role in the MCU, Sink responded positively, "I think that’s super exciting." However, she remained tight-lipped about any confirmed involvement, leaving fans eagerly awaiting official announcements.

Late last year, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige hinted at the integration of X-Men characters into the MCU's upcoming films. At the Disney APAC Content Showcase in Singapore, Feige teased that "some X-Men players that you might recognize" would appear in the "next few" MCU movies. He further elaborated on the future of the X-Men within the MCU, stating, "Right after that, the whole story of Secret Wars really leads us into a new age of mutants and of the X-Men. Again, [it's] one of those dreams come true. We finally have the X-Men back."

The anticipated films following Feige's remarks include *Captain America: Brave New World*, *Thunderbolts*, and the Phase Six opener *The Fantastic Four: First Steps* in July 2025. More mutant appearances are likely in Phase 6 movies such as *Avengers: Doomsday* and *Spider-Man 4* in 2026, and *Avengers: Secret Wars* in 2027. The return of characters like Deadpool and Wolverine, following their successful standalone film, and possibly Channing Tatum as Gambit, are among the speculated developments.

Feige has emphasized that the X-Men will play a significant role in the MCU's future, particularly following *Secret Wars*. He explained, "When we were preparing for Avengers: Endgame years ago, it was a question of getting to the grand finale of our narrative, and then we had to start all over again after that. This time, on the road to Secret Wars, we already know very well what the story is going to be until then and afterwards. The X-Men are an important part of that future."

Phase 7 of the MCU is expected to be dominated by the X-Men, with Storm already making an appearance in What If...? Season 3. Additionally, Marvel Studios has added three untitled movie projects to its 2028 release schedule, increasing the likelihood that one of these films will be dedicated to the X-Men.
