Iconic Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his roles in games like The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, Fallout 3, and Starfield, was discovered in a critical condition in his hotel room last week. His family is now reaching out to fans for support during this challenging time.

According to PC Gamer, Johnson's wife, Kim, along with other family members, has initiated a GoFundMe campaign to help cover his medical expenses and other bills, as he is currently unable to work. The campaign page reveals that Johnson is "continuing to battle for his life in an intensive care unit."

Johnson had committed to hosting a benefit event for the National Alzheimer’s Foundation in Atlanta on January 22. After arriving and checking into his hotel, he mysteriously did not show up at the event. Concerned, his wife Kim attempted to contact him. "It took hotel security to enter his room and discover him unconscious and barely alive," the GoFundMe post explained. Emergency medical technicians struggled to find a pulse upon their arrival.

The GoFundMe campaign aimed to raise $50,000 but has surpassed this goal, amassing $144,791 from over 2,200 supporters. Beyond his extensive work in video games, Johnson has served as the public address announcer for the Washington Capitals for 25 years and has appeared in numerous film and television roles.

Johnson's voice has become synonymous with Bethesda titles, with his most recent role being Ron Hope in Starfield. His notable characters include the Prince of Madness Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance in The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, three Daedric Princes (Boethiah, Malacath, and Molag Bal) in The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind, Fawkes and Maister Burke in Fallout 3, Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II in Skyrim, and Moe Cronin in Fallout 4, among others.
