Sony has announced Mukti, a new title for PlayStation 5 and PC, developed under its Sony India Hero Project.
Mukti is a first-person narrative adventure set in an Indian museum. Developer underDOGS Studio describes Mukti as a deep dive into the critical issue of human trafficking, aiming to raise awareness through its storytelling.

In Mukti, players explore a museum’s intricate halls, uncovering the stark realities and untold stories of human trafficking. Through compelling narratives and immersive gameplay, Mukti challenges players to engage with the struggles of victims and survivors, shining a light on this global crisis.
Inspired by real stories and carefully researched historical contexts, Mukti seeks to educate, provoke reflection, and inspire change. Every interaction is crafted to foster empathy, encourage discussion, and drive action.
underDOGS Studio is collaborating with PlayStation to optimize the PS5 DualSense controller’s haptics and adaptive triggers, enhancing the experience with subtle vibrations during reflective puzzle-solving moments.
The studio also shared tentative PC specifications for Mukti.

The Steam version of Mukti will include achievements, family sharing, and full controller support.
In a PlayStation Blog post, Vaibhav Chavan, founder and game director at underDOGS Studio, expressed pride in Sony’s support.
“Being part of the Sony India Hero Project has empowered us to realize our vision and reinforced our belief that Indian narratives deserve a global platform,” Chavan said.
“Working closely with Sony’s talented team for over a year has been an enlightening experience. We’re excited to finally share a glimpse of what we’ve been building.”
Sony’s Hero Project initiatives worldwide aim to discover standout externally developed games for PlayStation, offering studios development, publishing, and marketing support. For instance, Lost Soul Aside is an upcoming title from the China Hero Project.
