Shift Up, the developer behind Stellar Blade, has announced a record-breaking year, with Stellar Blade generating $43 million in royalties. The PC version is projected to surpass the PlayStation 5 sales figures.
Game World Observer reports that Shift Up's 2024 financial report shows a 30.4% year-over-year revenue increase, reaching $151.4 million. A significant portion, $43.2 million, stems directly from Stellar Blade royalties.
The success shows no signs of waning, with Shift Up predicting stronger PC sales than the console version, particularly within the Asian gaming market. While a Stellar Blade sequel is highly anticipated, Shift Up's focus currently lies on Project Witches, a new game slated for a reveal in the first half of 2025.
Project Witches, unveiled in 2024 following Stellar Blade's PS5 launch, preempts the anticipated sequel momentum. However, Shift Up has indicated that a future installment in the Stellar Blade franchise remains a possibility.
