Last month, Tencent and Level Infinite made a significant announcement about the future of Alchemy Stars. Originally launched in June 2021 on mobile platforms, this popular game will be transitioning to an offline version following its official shutdown. This change means that even after the live services end, players can continue to enjoy the game's story mode.
When Is the Game Wrapping Up Its Services?
Alchemy Stars is set to conclude its live service operations on January 24th, 2025. In preparation for the transition to an offline version, the game will undergo maintenance on January 10th from 4:00 to 9:00 GMT, during which version 1.43.0 will be released. It's essential for players to update their game after this maintenance to access the local data save feature, which is your key to preserving all the progress you've made so far. You'll find a data save button on the main page; tapping it will direct you to a page where you can save your user data. Remember, you can save your data multiple times, but this option will only be available until January 24th at 4:00 GMT. After that, any unsaved data will be lost forever.Once Alchemy Stars transitions to its special offline edition, there will be no further updates. It's also worth noting that if you delete the app, you won't be able to download or reinstall it. The offline version will allow you to explore your saved data, play through the story, and upgrade your units.
Having an offline version available is certainly preferable to a total shutdown, wouldn't you agree? Make sure to prepare for this change and download the game from the Google Play Store before it's no longer available.
