The PlayStation Portal is Sony's innovative handheld gaming accessory for the PS5 console. It resembles an extended split-pad DualSense controller with an 8-inch 1080p LCD screen in the center. This device transforms your PS5 into a portable gaming experience, allowing you to stream games from your console at up to 60fps. The controller replicates the DualSense's features, including haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and a touchscreen interface in place of the traditional touchpad. The Portal can stream games even when you're away from home, provided you have access to a very stable and fast internet connection. It's important to note that the PS Portal is not a standalone device; it requires a PS5 to function.

Update: You no longer need a PS5 to enjoy games on the PS Portal. Sony has introduced a new feature allowing owners to stream games directly from its PlayStation Now cloud streaming service.
