Pokémon GO enthusiasts, get ready for an exciting lineup of events! Alongside the ongoing Festival of Colors and Might and Mastery events, the highly anticipated Catch Mastery event is set to captivate players as a thrilling subset of the Might and Mastery event.
Catch Mastery Brings the First Birdie for Pokémon GO!
Mark your calendars for March 16th, as the Catch Mastery event kicks off from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time. This event shines the spotlight on Archen, the First Bird Pokémon. During the event, you'll encounter wild spawns of Omanyte and Kabuto, with the added thrill of potentially encountering their Shiny variants.
Archen won't just be appearing in the wild; you can also snag it as a Field Research reward, with an enhanced chance of encountering its Shiny form. To sweeten the deal, the event offers enticing XP bonuses: double XP for Nice Throws or better, and for Curveball Throws, giving you a great opportunity to level up quickly.
Additionally, there's Timed Research tied to the event, challenging you to catch Rock-type Pokémon. If you're up for the challenge, you can complete up to 10 sets of tasks, leading to a whopping 40 Archen encounters. It's a fantastic chance to bolster your collection and master your catching skills!
The Mega Absol Raid Day Is also Happening Soon
Following the Catch Mastery event, the Mega Absol Raid Day is set to electrify players on March 23rd from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Absol is set to receive a powerful new Charged Attack, Brutal Swing, which will become a permanent addition to its move set post-event. This attack boasts 55 power in Trainer Battles and 65 power in gyms and raids, making Absol an even more formidable opponent.
From March 22nd at 5:00 p.m. PDT to March 23rd at 8:00 p.m. PDT, the Remote Raid Pass limit will be temporarily increased to 20, allowing for more raid participation. You can also collect up to five additional free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs, bringing your total to six for the day. This is the perfect opportunity to team up with friends and take on Mega Absol!
