Before embarking on "Under the Straw Hat," you must first initiate the "In Vino Veritas" side quest in Kuttenberg. Upon arrival, locate Casper Rudolf on the west side of the city, where he's offering free wine samples. Casper needs your help to gather information that will refine his wine-making techniques.

You have two paths to proceed: you can directly approach Havel with some wine knowledge or retrieve Casper's book from Adleta to deepen your understanding. If you choose to meet Havel directly, ensure you're dressed in fine attire and well-groomed; otherwise, he won't entertain your conversation. During your dialogue with Havel, select "Germany," "Steinberger," and "It’s missing ginger" as your responses to extract valuable insights. Once you've obtained the information, return to Casper and share your findings.

Access the Vineyard

Next, Casper tasks you with infiltrating the vineyard north of Kuttenberg to uncover details about the incense Havel mentioned. Avoid wandering into the fields to prevent trespassing charges. Instead, follow the main road to the vineyard and speak with the recruiter, who will assign you the "Under the Straw Hat" quest. Continue along the road, pass the guard at the estate entrance, and locate Jerome on a bench. Inform Jerome you've been instructed to report there, and he'll brief you on your vineyard duties.

Working at the Vineyard

Your job at the vineyard begins the following day. After resting at the inn or elsewhere, return to the vineyard in the morning. You have the choice to either perform your assigned tasks, such as moving sacks and harvesting Thistle around the vines, or focus directly on acquiring the secret incense.

The incense is stored in the wine cellar, located downstairs in the main building where you met Jerome. Accessing this restricted area requires either a lockpick or stealing Jerome's keys. In the cellar, locate a chest and collect all the Sulphur Wicks inside, fulfilling the main objective. For an increased reward, you can also gather seedlings for Casper. From the main building's entrance, swiftly move to the opposite door to find the seedlings, mindful that this is another trespassing area.

If you choose to complete your work, report to Jerome at day's end to receive your payment. Alternatively, return to Casper with the Sulphur Wicks and possibly the seedlings to complete both "Under the Straw Hat" and "In Vino Veritas" quests in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*.
