Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red continues to support the game with another imminent update arriving later this month. Discover what enhancements the studio has planned and whether this truly marks the end of official support.
Cyberpunk 2077 Devs Maintain Ongoing Support
Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.3 Arrives June 26
During CD Projekt Red's REDstreams event on June 5, the development team confirmed upcoming content for Cyberpunk 2077. Before concluding their Nintendo Switch 2 launch celebration, CDPR announced Patch 2.3's scheduled release for June 26, with additional details to be revealed in a future livestream.
Global Community Director Marcin Momot reinforced this announcement on social media, urging fans to anticipate further information. Associate Game Director Pawel Sasko verified the team has secretly been preparing this update and will disclose more when ready.
The Neverending Story of Final Updates

CD Projekt Red has previously declared multiple "final" updates for Cyberpunk 2077, though this iteration might genuinely conclude development as resources shift to Cyberpunk 2. Developers humorously acknowledged during REDstreams that their previous "final" update wasn't actually the last.
The studio originally designated December 2023's Patch 2.1 as the definitive conclusion, coinciding with the Ultimate Edition launch. However, December 2024 saw Patch 2.2 introduce additional customization features through a partnership with Virtuos, extending the game's lifecycle beyond initial projections.
This pattern mirrors CDPR's approach to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, where the December 2022 next-gen Patch 4.0 was announced as final, only for a substantial Patch 4.04 to arrive in July 2023. Most recently, in celebration of The Witcher 3's 10th anniversary, the studio confirmed another conclusive update featuring cross-platform mod support.

With Cyberpunk 2 entering pre-production and The Witcher 4's technology demonstration underway, these forthcoming updates likely represent CDPR's final contributions to their predecessor titles. Players can currently enjoy Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition on Nintendo Switch 2, featuring the complete base game, all post-launch updates, and the Phantom Liberty expansion.
