"Deltarune's Secret Room Unveils Exclusive Switch 2 Feature"

Special Room and More Exclusively for Switch 2

Deltarune's Switch 2 version was unveiled during the latest Nintendo Direct for Switch 2 on April 2. This version will include chapters 3 and 4, along with exclusive features tailored for the next-gen console.

According to a Fangamer newsletter from Deltarune developer Toby Fox, the Switch 2 edition will feature a unique room that utilizes the mouse functionality of the new Joy-Cons. Fox explained, "So, we made a very small SPECIAL ROOM which takes advantage of using MOUSE CONTROLS ON TWO CONTROLLERS AT ONCE, only possible on the Nintendo Switch 2!!"

For those with non-Switch 2 devices, the special room will still be accessible, but with a different control scheme. Additionally, players can transfer their save files from the Nintendo Switch demo of Deltarune 1 and 2 to the new version.

Deltarune Future Chapters Will Be Free

In the newsletter, Fox also revealed that Deltarune will be priced at $24.99. This price includes Chapters 1 and 2, as well as the newly released Chapters 3 and 4. Chapter 1 was initially released in 2018, followed by Chapter 2 in 2021. While these initial chapters were free, it was previously announced that future Chapters 3-5 would be paid.

However, Fox has now confirmed that all upcoming Chapters will be added as free updates. This means that players only need to purchase the game once, and future Chapters will be provided at no additional cost. Fox stated, "But, it's my hope that as we complete more Chapters, you'll feel like this game was a super super super super good deal."

The game's soundtrack will also be available on Steam for $14.99. The release of Chapters 3 and 4 will include over 150 songs, with additional songs from future Chapters added for free. Deltarune aims to provide fans with a game that offers exceptional value by including future Chapters and content at no extra charge.
