Destiny Child Returns as Idle RPG Soon!

Destiny Child, the beloved game that first hit the scene in 2016, is set for a remarkable revival. After being transformed into a 'memorial' in September 2023, Com2uS has now taken over from ShiftUp to breathe new life into this cherished title.

Is it Going to be the Same Game?

Com2uS has inked a deal with ShiftUp to craft a brand-new Destiny Child game, this time as an idle RPG. The development will be spearheaded by Com2uS's subsidiary, Tiki Taka Studio, known for their work on tactical RPGs like Arcana Tactics. This revival aims to reimagine Destiny Child, preserving the emotional essence and stunning 2D character designs of the original while introducing fresh mechanics to enhance the gaming experience.

Have You Tried Out the Memorial?

When Destiny Child first launched, it captivated players with its charming characters and engaging real-time battles. After nearly seven years, the game was officially discontinued. However, ShiftUp introduced a Memorial version, allowing fans to relive the magic. This version, while not the full game, offers a nostalgic journey through the beautiful character illustrations, letting players reminisce about their favorite Childs. Access to the Memorial version is exclusive to those who had accounts before the shutdown, requiring a verification code based on previous game data. It's a perfect way to revisit the Childs and their classes, even if you can't engage in battles anymore. You can find it on the Google Play Store until the new game is released.

That concludes our update on the exciting comeback of Destiny Child. Before you go, don't miss our coverage on Hearthstone's The Great Dark Beyond, which is bringing back the Burning Legion.
