Crafting these gems is no easy feat.

To start crafting Occult Gems, players must first obtain a Fugitive Head and deliver it to Gelena at the Tree of Whispers. How To Find Fugitive Heads in Diablo 4 Season 7

Blizzard has made obtaining Fugitive Heads a challenging task. To start, players must complete Whisper bounties in the newly introduced Headhunt zones. Upon completion, there's a chance an Uprooted Cocoon will appear. However, breaking it open isn't straightforward; Headrotten Bosses emerge from these cocoons. With a bit of luck, some of these bosses will be carrying a Fugitive Head, which you can claim by defeating them.

This process can be lengthy and heavily reliant on chance. Fortunately, you can increase your odds of encountering Fugitive Heads by using the Draught of Whispers Elixir. Available through Exposed Roots, Whispers Cache, and Coven’s Cache, this elixir boosts the spawn rate of Fugitive Heads by 50% and increases the likelihood of Forgotten Altars appearing.

Difficulty also plays a crucial role in the hunt for Fugitive Heads. Their spawn rate is significantly lower on difficulties below Torment, which is already a challenging setting. Casual players should take their time adjusting to Torment before embarking on their Headhunt. Remember, Season 7 runs until April, giving you ample time to gather Fugitive Heads at your own pace.
