Teaser for a New Digimon Card Game Project

During the Bandai Card Games Fest 24-25 in Japan on March 14-15, Bandai announced an upcoming Digimon Card Game project. The official Digimon TCG Twitter (X) account posted a teaser trailer on March 16, suggesting the project may be a mobile app or game.

The 14-second animated teaser shows Renamon picking up a mobile device and being drawn into the phone. Many fans believe this could be an official mobile client for the Digimon TCG—a feature players have requested since the game’s launch. A mobile version would likely attract more players by increasing accessibility, similar to apps for Magic: The Gathering and Pokémon TCG Pocket.

DIGIMON CON 2025

The DIGIMON CON 2025 livestream is scheduled for March 20 at 12 PM JST / March 19 at 7 PM PST / March 19 at 10 PM EST. It will be broadcast on the official Digimon JP YouTube channel.

The event will feature announcements covering Digimon games, anime, toys, cards, comics, and more. According to the official Digimon website, the program includes the release of a 25th-anniversary commemorative PV titled "DIGIMON ADVENTURE-BEYOND-" and news on the "GODZILLA VS DIGIMON" collaboration. Expect updates on the latest Digimon comics, 25th-anniversary merchandise for "DIGIMON ADVENTURE 02," and a special DIGIMON CON concert.

The Digimon TCG will share the latest product announcements and details about its new project. Updates will also be provided on the upcoming game Digimon Story: Time Stranger. This will be the first new information since the game was revealed during the PlayStation State of Play in February 2025.
