The night approaches as Bandai Namco and FromSoftware confirm worldwide launch timings for Elden Ring: Nightreign.

The official release date for Elden Ring: Nightreign is May 30 at midnight EDT across PC, PlayStation 4/5, and Xbox One/Series X|S. Due to timezone variations, some regions will gain access earlier. Pacific Time players can start playing at 9pm on May 29.

Platform availability also varies. According to Bandai Namco, PC players in most regions will get early access. U.S. East Coast PC players can begin at 6pm on May 29, while console players must wait until midnight.

Pre-loading begins 48 hours before launch on PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam. In an exclusive IGN interview, director Junya Ishizaki explained the decision to focus on solo and trio gameplay.

"We regret overlooking the option for two-player teams without matchmaking," Ishizaki admitted. "Our development prioritized three-player co-op balance, which remained our core focus throughout Nightreign's creation."

The director continued: "We've carefully designed the solo experience within our game systems, but admittedly neglected duos. We're evaluating this for potential post-launch updates."

Players teaming up as pairs should prepare to welcome a random third teammate - who might just turn out to be exceptionally skilled.
