How to Beat All Monsters in E.R.P.O.
New monsters are frequently added to E.R.P.O., so it's a good idea to bookmark this page for regular updates. Below, you'll find detailed guides on how to tackle each monster. While there's a strategy for dealing with every monster, you can also use weapons to attack them:
Melee Combat: From the Machete to the Hammer, these weapons are available in the shop for 10k to 20k cash. They'll appear in your next level, ready to be picked up with M1 and used to swing at monsters. Exercise caution with monsters like the Huntsman, who can attack from a distance. A hit-and-run strategy can minimize the damage you take. Always bring healing packs when engaging in melee combat.
Grenades and Mines: Also available in the shop, grenades and mines can be game-changers. To use a grenade, pick it up with M1, uncork it with E, and then either throw it or leave it to detonate, causing massive damage to weaker monsters and significantly harming the tougher ones. Mines work similarly but require you to place them and wait for a monster to trigger them.
Monster Brawl: You can manipulate monster interactions to your advantage. For instance, you can lure a Huntsman into shooting another monster by running behind it and making noise, either by walking or using Voice chat mode. The Huntsman will aim at you but hit the monster in front. Similarly, you can pull Reapers into each other during their attack animations to cause mutual damage.
Now, let's dive into specific strategies for each monster.
Robe Guide (Ghost)
The Robe is a large shadowy figure that you need to keep your distance from; it will grab and damage you on contact. You can hide by crouching or simply kite it around. To kill it, bait it into two grenades or mines. I advise against melee combat with the Robe due to its high damage output. Be aware that the Robe teleports and moves faster towards you if you look at its mask.
Reaper Guide
The Reaper is a raggedy doll-like creature with spinning sword arms that deal melee damage. Like the Robe, you can kite or avoid the Reaper, but it doesn't teleport. It's more feasible to use melee weapons against the Reaper since it deals less damage than the Robe. A single grenade combined with a few hits can take down a Reaper, and both grenades and mines can stun it.
Apex Predator Guide (Duck)
These seemingly harmless ducks are non-hostile and will follow you around unless provoked. They become aggressive if you grab them or if they're harmed indirectly, such as by falling objects. Once enraged, they'll fly and bite, dealing low damage but relentlessly pursuing you. Your best options are to outrun them or use melee weapons to dispatch them. While grenades can kill them, it's overkill given their low health.
Huntsman
The Huntsman is a blind adversary equipped with a gun that can one-shot you. He relies on sound, triggered by speaking into a mic in Voice chat mode or walking quickly near him. To evade him, crouch with C and hide under tables. Avoid melee combat as he has auto-aim and can instantly kill you. Instead, strategically place a mine near him or throw a grenade while crouched. The explosion will temporarily deafen the Huntsman for 6 seconds, giving you a window to rush in with melee weapons.
