Explore Spider-Woman's Origins in New Marvel Contest of Champions Update

April is shaping up to be an electrifying month for fans of Marvel Contest of Champions (MCOC), with a slew of new content and characters hitting the game. One of the highlights is the introduction of the new champion, Spider-Woman. Jessica Drew, known as Spider-Woman, has a compelling origin story that sets her apart. As a child, she was exposed to uranium, leading to a severe illness. Her father, a brilliant geneticist, attempted to save her by injecting her with a serum derived from spider DNA. After a long recovery, Jessica not only overcame the adverse effects but also emerged with extraordinary spider-like abilities, eventually becoming the superhero we know as Spider-Woman. You'll be able to add her to your roster starting April 17th.

Before Spider-Woman makes her entrance, another intriguing character, Lumatrix, will join the fray on April 9th. Created by the Founders, Lumatrix is a formidable assassin known for his lethal light-based powers, designed specifically for infiltration and elimination missions. His arrival promises to shake up the game's dynamics significantly.

What Else Is New?

On the narrative front, Act 9 Chapter 2, titled "Inquisition," brings intense developments. Carina finds herself severely injured after a confrontation with Ouroborus forces, while Doctor Doom unexpectedly allies with the Fantastic Four. The spread of Chronoserpent corruption adds to the chaos, and a new villain, Lotan, emerges to challenge the champions.

Starting on April 9th and running until May 7th, the new Event Quest "Spy Games" will keep players engaged. Black Widow is on a mission to unravel the mystery of the Eidols and enlists Spider-Woman's help, adding a thrilling layer to the game's storyline.

The return of Dark Phoenix in the Side Quest with "Dark Bounties" offers another exciting challenge. Players must track down the champions targeted by Dark Phoenix's bounty to claim their rewards, making for a high-stakes adventure.

Additionally, the "Incursions: Dark Phoenix Saga Sector" makes a comeback, giving players a chance to assemble their top Saga champions and battle through for valuable rewards such as Dark Plumes, Light Essence, Tier 7 Basic Fragments, and 7-Star Class Signature Stones.
