"My Father Lied: Lovecraftian Puzzle Game Hits Android Soon"

In the vast sea of modern gaming, finding a unique experience is like discovering a hidden gem. One such gem that has piqued my interest is My Father Lied, a mystery and Lovecraftian puzzle adventure game that stands out due to its compelling narrative.

My Father Lied Is Made by an Indie Developer

The journey of bringing My Father Lied to life is as fascinating as the game itself. Ahmed Alameen, the creative force behind the game, initially carved his path as a writer and filmmaker. In 2020, a college friend proposed collaborating on a game, but the project never took off as the team disbanded.

Despite this setback, the story Ahmed had in mind wouldn't let go. Driven by passion, he embarked on a solo journey, teaching himself 3D modeling and Unreal Engine to realize his vision. The game's intriguing title was even a collaborative brainstorm with his wife, showcasing the personal touch that indie development can bring.

So, What’s the Game’s Story?

Now, let's delve into the enthralling narrative of My Father Lied. You embark on a mysterious journey enveloped in ancient Mesopotamian myths, filled with secrets, puzzles, and unexpected twists.

You take on the role of Huda, a young woman haunted by a 20-year-old question: what happened to her father? As the story unfolds, you'll discover that the answer is far from straightforward.

Drawing inspiration from 7,000 years of Mesopotamian culture, My Father Lied masterfully blends ancient tales with contemporary narratives. The gameplay involves straightforward point-and-click puzzles, devoid of complex controls, and features stunning 2D visuals alongside immersive 360-degree images.

When Is It Coming to Android?

My Father Lied is set to launch on PC on May 30th, 2025. Following the PC release, Android and iOS versions are slated for Q3 of 2025. For more details, you can visit the game's official Kickstarter page or its Steam page.

Currently, the game is not available on the Play Store. After the Steam launch, the developers are expected to focus on preparing the game for mobile platforms. In the meantime, keep an eye out for our next update on Apocalyptic Seas in High Seas Hero, now available on Android.
