"Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3 Development Progressing - Director"

Game director Hamaguchi has shared that the team behind the Final Fantasy series is diligently working on the sequel to Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. He has urged fans to remain patient, promising that new details about the project will be released in due time. According to Hamaguchi, 2024 was a banner year for Final Fantasy Rebirth, the second installment of the trilogy, which not only garnered numerous awards but also captured the hearts of gamers worldwide. The focus now is on expanding the fan base of Final Fantasy VII, with plans to introduce unique challenges in the upcoming third installment.

Interestingly, Hamaguchi also took note of another significant release in the gaming world this year: Grand Theft Auto VI. He expressed his support for the team at Rockstar Games, acknowledging the pressure they are under following the massive success of GTA V.

While specific details about the third installment remain under wraps, Hamaguchi assured fans that development is progressing smoothly. It's worth noting that the team is still actively working on Final Fantasy Rebirth, which was released less than a year ago. Hamaguchi teased that players can expect something truly unique in the next game.

On another note, Final Fantasy XVI, which launched in May 2024, faced challenges with its initial sales, which did not meet the fiscal year's projections. Square Enix has not yet disclosed the total sales figures for Final Fantasy XVI or the most recent sales data for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, which also fell short of expectations. However, the company remains optimistic, stating that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth's sales are not considered a complete failure and that Final Fantasy XVI still has a window of 18 months to achieve its sales goals.
