GOG Resurrects Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2 on PC

The beloved survival horror games, Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2, have been resurrected and are now available on PC through GOG, thanks to CD Projekt's Preservation Program. These cult classics, originally released for the PlayStation, are now accessible DRM-free, preserving their original content for a new generation of gamers.

Dino Crisis first hit the shelves in 1999, followed by Dino Crisis 2 in 2000. The series' third installment, Dino Crisis 3, was an Xbox exclusive in 2003, and since then, fans have been eagerly awaiting any news on a new entry or a high-definition remake. However, Capcom's recent focus on other projects, such as the multiplayer dinosaur game Exoprimal, has led many to believe that the series might be permanently extinct. This sentiment was further reinforced by Dino Crisis creator Shinji Mikami's comments last year, noting that the success of Capcom's Monster Hunter series leaves little room for a Dino Crisis revival.

The PC versions of these games were previously challenging to find and run on modern systems, making GOG's re-release a welcome development for fans. GOG highlighted the efforts of Capcom in bringing back Regina's iconic line, "You're extinct!" to life, ensuring that the game itself remains timeless and enhanced for today's systems.
