Happy Gilmore 2 has achieved the largest U.S. weekend debut ever for a Netflix film, while KPop Demon Hunters has become the platform's most-watched animated movie of all time.

The Adam Sandler sequel gathered more than 46.7 million views in its first three days, marking the biggest opening weekend for any Sandler film on Netflix to date. This is especially noteworthy given the comedian’s long-standing relationship with the streaming service. KPop Demon Hunters, which premiered on June 20, is also making a major impact on the charts.

The animated musical not only set a Netflix record as the top animated film but also reached a new viewing peak in its fifth week. This week, it brought in a remarkable 26.3 million views, though still well below the numbers posted by Sandler's new release.

Both titles are delivering outstanding results for Netflix and clearly resonating with audiences, suggesting they will likely continue attracting strong viewership and could set even more records.

Happy Gilmore 2 is the much-anticipated follow-up to the 1996 comedy about an eccentric hockey player who takes up golf to rescue his grandmother’s home from foreclosure. Sandler returns in the lead role, alongside returning cast members Julie Bowen, Christopher McDonald, Ben Stiller, Dennis Dugan, and Kevin Nealon.

KPop Demon Hunters is a vibrant animated musical fantasy following the girl group Huntr/x, who balance their pop careers by day with battling demons by night. The voice cast includes Daniel Dae Kim and Yujin Kim from Lost, comedian Ken Jeong, Arden Cho of Teen Wolf fame, and a lineup of acclaimed South Korean actors and singers.

Both Happy Gilmore 2 and KPop Demon Hunters are now available to stream on Netflix.
