In Dynasty Warriors: Origins, players may take significant damage depending on their skill level and the chosen difficulty setting. Newcomers to the franchise will likely want to know how to heal quickly. Fortunately, healing in this game is straightforward, primarily involving the use of a special consumable item. Additionally, the game offers an auto-healing feature, which can be particularly useful for those who prefer not to constantly monitor their health bar.

How to Heal in Dynasty Warriors: Origins

Dynasty Warriors: Origins - Healing with Meat Buns

As with previous entries in the Dynasty Warriors series, healing in Dynasty Warriors: Origins is done through the use of meat buns. These can be obtained by smashing pots scattered around enemy bases. Additionally, defeating Enemy Officers on the Historian and Wayfarer difficulty settings may cause them to drop meat buns. However, on higher difficulties like Hero and Ultimate Warrior, meat buns will not be dropped by defeated officers.

Using Meat Buns in Dynasty Warriors: Origins

To heal during battle, players can consume a meat bun by pressing Up on the D-Pad, provided they have at least one in their inventory. If a player's inventory is full when they pick up a meat bun, it will be automatically consumed unless they are already at full health, in which case it will remain on the ground. Initially, players can carry up to three meat buns, but this capacity can be expanded with the Meat Bun Glutton skill for those who find three insufficient.

Auto-Use Meat Buns Feature in Dynasty Warriors: Origins

For players who prefer not to manage their healing manually, the "Auto-Use Meat Buns" option can be enabled in the Configuration menu. This feature automatically uses meat buns when the player's health drops below a certain threshold. Even with this option enabled, players can still manually use meat buns, making it a versatile choice for all types of players.
