Hearthstone has officially unveiled details for Battlegrounds Season 10, titled *Second Nature*, launching on April 29th, 2025. This season promises a mix of exciting new content and the return of familiar favorites. With major gameplay updates and fresh mechanics on the horizon, players can expect a dynamic shift in the Battlegrounds meta.
What’s New in Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 10?
The transition from Season 9 to Season 10 will take place simultaneously on April 29th. Player ratings will reset, and the Battlegrounds Track will be fully refreshed. Any unclaimed rewards from Season 9 will be automatically collected, ensuring no reward goes to waste.
Leading up to the launch, Blizzard is spreading out the reveals across multiple days, giving fans a chance to preview what’s coming. On April 18th, you’ll get your first look at Dragons, Demons, and Mechs. Then on April 21st, Undead and Pirates enter the spotlight, followed by Naga and Quilboar on the 22nd. The reveal schedule wraps up on April 23rd with Murlocs and Beasts.
Gameplay Changes and Updates
One of the biggest changes in this season is the removal of Anomalies from the Tavern entirely, making way for more traditional Battlegrounds gameplay. Turn lengths are also being slightly extended, giving players additional time to plan their strategies and execute optimal moves.
[ttpp]Trinkets are back—but not exactly as you remember. These passive power-ups can now be purchased using Gold and appear twice per game: once on Turn 6 as Lesser Trinkets, and again on Turn 9 as Greater Trinkets. This season introduces an improved system that increases the likelihood of obtaining Trinkets matching your current minion type.
Blizzard is also rolling out over 100 new Trinkets alongside more than 100 returning ones, offering even more variety and strategic depth to each match.
New Heroes Entering the Battlegrounds
This season welcomes two brand-new heroes to the roster:
- Forest Lord Cenarius – Channeling classic Druid energy, he excels at accelerating Gold gain and enabling powerful late-game plays.
- Buttons – A mysterious addition whose abilities are sure to shake up the battlefield.
Minion Pool Refresh
Battlegrounds Season 10 includes a major overhaul of the minion pool. Over 75 new and returning minions, along with several Tavern spells, will be added to the rotation—bringing fresh synergy opportunities and new strategies into play.
With the season update, the Battlegrounds Track will also be reset, giving all players a clean slate to earn exclusive rewards. Be sure to download or update Hearthstone from the Google Play Store ahead of the launch to jump into the action right away.
