The Emerald Dream is set to enchant Hearthstone players with its launch on March 25th, introducing 145 new cards, innovative mechanics, and the legendary Wild Gods. This expansion brings a magical yet perilously twisted experience to the game, centered around Ysera's realm, the heart of all Nature magic, which faces a looming threat. Players have the choice to either protect its serene beauty or embrace the ensuing chaos.
What’s Happening in This Expansion?
At the core of Into the Emerald Dream is the new keyword, Imbue. This feature is exclusive to Druids, Hunters, Mages, Paladins, Priests, and Shamans, granting them the blessings of the World Tree. The first time an Imbue card is played, the Hero Power of these classes transforms into a more powerful version tailored to their class. Each subsequent Imbue card further enhances this Hero Power. For instance, Hunters receive the Blessing of the Wolf, while other classes can only watch in envy as Imbue has no effect on them if they're not among the chosen six.
On the other hand, if defending nature isn't your style, the Old Gods offer an alternative through the Dark Gifts keyword. This corruption-fueled mechanic is designed for Death Knights, Demon Hunters, Rogues, Warlocks, and Warriors, providing them with twisted enhancements that integrate with Discover options. These can be used to summon nightmare-fueled minions that unleash chaos on the battlefield. The Emerald Dream expansion includes 10 different Dark Gifts, adding a layer of strategic depth to these classes.

The expansion also introduces The Wild Gods, legendary minions that represent colossal forces of nature. Each class has its own Wild God to rally behind, with some already succumbing to corruption. This dynamic adds an intriguing split between those who strive to maintain the Dream and those intent on dragging it into a Nightmare.
