Honkai Impact 3rd Version 8.0: In Search of the Sun Launches This Month

As the new year kicks off, Honkai Impact 3rd is heating things up with its latest update, "In Search of the Sun," set to launch on January 9th. Even if you're bundled up against the cold in the northern hemisphere, this update promises to transport you to warmer climes with a host of new content to keep you engaged until the sun makes its much-anticipated return.

The star of the show for this update is Durandal's new battlesuit, the Reign Solaris. This IMG-type Physical DMG dealer features Durandal in a more compact and agile form. You can switch between two exciting modes: Rampager, which focuses on charging up attacks for intense brawling, and Skyrider, which allows you to swiftly maneuver across the battlefield. Additionally, you can equip Durandal with her signature weapons, the Valorous Effulgence and PRI-ARM Valorous Effulgence: New Voyage, to maximize her combat potential.

The storyline expands with "Bouquets of Unfulfilled Wishes," where the Dreamseeker and her companion revisit the Mars system to delve deeper into the Ten Shus war. Expect a rollercoaster of emotions, thrilling action, and the introduction of the new On-Duty Work Guide minigame. In this minigame, you'll navigate Cube-ianka through a 3D grid, solving puzzles to progress.

But that's not all! You can also earn a share of an impressive 60,000,000 Crystals by completing segments of the main story chapters. Keep in mind, though, these Crystals are drawn from a central pool, so be quick! Additionally, the new featured event, "Countdown: To Sweet Dreams," offers a more relaxed experience after the intensity of the main chapters. This event brings back familiar faces like Mei, Theresa, and Fu Hua, introduces a peculiar new boss, and lets you command followers in battle, reminiscent of a monster trainer.
