InZOI's Game Director, Hyungjun "KJoon" Kim, has unveiled intriguing details about the game's inclusion of unusual and paranormal elements. Players will have the unique opportunity to control ghosts, though this feature will be limited to ensure it complements rather than overshadows the core gameplay. This ghost mechanic is intricately linked to a karma system, which meticulously tracks the actions of characters and influences their future lives in specific ways. Remarkably, this influence extends beyond death.

The karma system and a character's deeds will determine their fate after passing away. Depending on their actions, characters may either peacefully transition to the afterlife or become a ghost, doomed to linger among the living. To finally depart from the mortal world, a ghost must earn the missing karma points.
In the early access version of InZOI, ghosts will be present, but players won't be able to control them initially—this feature will be introduced in a later update. The developer has emphasized that InZOI is fundamentally a game about real life, so paranormal elements will be kept to a minimum. However, there's a hint that other unexplained phenomena might be added to InZOI in the future, adding an extra layer of mystery and excitement to the gameplay.
