The highly anticipated life simulation game, inZOI, is scheduled for a worldwide release on March 28. Developer KRAFTON has officially announced the launch date, offering fans an exciting preview of this innovative gaming experience. Ahead of the official launch, the development team will hold a special live presentation on March 19.
This exclusive event will give players key insights into the forthcoming Early Access phase, covering topics such as pricing, DLC content, the game’s development timeline, and responses to commonly asked community questions. The live stream will be broadcast on the official YouTube and Twitch channels, giving global fans a direct look behind the scenes with the creators.
A defining element of inZOI is its unique global karma system, which lets players shape the world in meaningful ways. Each character’s actions build up their personal karma score. After death, this accumulated karma influences what comes next—negative karma turns a character into a ghost, who must make amends before being reborn. When too many ghosts linger in a city, they disrupt the natural life cycle, stopping new births and turning the area into a haunting, spectral landscape.
Game director Hyunjun Kim points out that the karma system isn’t meant to impose strict moral rules or limit player creativity. Instead, it invites reflection on the intricacies and value of life. “Life can’t be reduced to simple ideas of ‘good’ or ‘bad,’” Kim notes. “Every life has its own meaning. We hope players will use inZOI’s karma mechanics to craft varied stories and explore the depth of human experience.”
Given the playful and often unconventional ways players have engaged with life sims like The Sims—such as trapping characters in pools without ladders—it will be exciting to see how the community experiments with inZOI's karma system. Fans won’t have to wait long to begin their journey: the game launches globally on March 28.
