Warhorse Studios has unveiled an exciting free update for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, now at version 1.2. This patch brings two major enhancements: seamless mod integration via Steam Workshop and a brand-new barber shop system.
The Steam Workshop feature streamlines mod installation directly within the game, removing the hassle of using third-party platforms. This convenience hinges on mod creators uploading their creations to Steam Workshop. Currently, the available mods include:
- Free Saving: This mod replenishes the "Saviour Schnapps" item, allowing unlimited saves.
- Helmet of Henry VIII: Adds a historically inspired horned helmet.
- Tourist: Disables NPC reactions to trespassing, opening up restricted story areas.
- Pebbles the Zebra: Transforms your horse into a zebra with a unique visual effect.
While the mod selection is still growing, the modding community is anticipated to flourish. With over a thousand mods on Nexus Mods, it's likely many creators will share their work on Steam Workshop as well. Although it may not match Nexus Mods in volume, popular mods are expected to make their way to Steam Workshop soon.

Alongside mod support, players can now visit NPC barbers in Rattay and Kuttenberg to customize their hairstyle or beard. Choosing a new look at the barber shop temporarily boosts the protagonist's Charisma stat, adding a fun strategic element to character customization.
Version 1.2 is packed with more than just these highlights. Warhorse Studios has released an extensive changelog on their official website, detailing over a thousand fixes and improvements across the game. These updates cover everything from balancing adjustments to refined animations and smarter NPC behavior. The crime system, for instance, has been fine-tuned for greater realism.
Other significant changes include:
- Revised NPC daily schedules for more realistic routines.
- Enhanced horse riding mechanics and trading systems.
- Improved character visuals and performance, especially in Kuttenberg and during large-scale battles.
Warhorse Studios plans to explore these updates in depth during a developer livestream scheduled for next Thursday. The studio remains dedicated to the game's development, with three paid DLC expansions set to release in spring, summer, and winter.
With the integration of Steam Workshop, new cosmetic options, and numerous gameplay enhancements, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II continues to offer an increasingly immersive medieval experience.
