Capcom just dropped a bombshell trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds, giving us our first detailed look at three exciting locales, never-before-seen monsters, and crucial details about next week's open beta. Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta Kicks Off October 28

During their October showcase, Capcom confirmed cross-play functionality and exact dates for the open beta test. PlayStation Plus members on PS5 get early access starting October 28, while everyone else across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC can join from October 31 through November 3.

Pre-load becomes available October 27 for PS Plus subscribers and October 30 for general access. Make sure you've got at least 18GB free on your console or PC for the test client.

What's Included in the Open Beta

The test version offers three key experiences: fully functional character creation (with progress carrying forward), a story prologue trial, and the challenging Doshaguma Hunt quest that showcases the game's multiplayer systems.

Hunter hopefuls will get to:

• Customize their hunter and Palico companions
• Experience new combat mechanics in the opening tutorial
• Battle early-game monster Chatacabra
• Team up against alpha predator Doshaguma

All participants will receive exclusive in-game rewards including a unique Palico pendant and starter item packs when the full game launches February 28, 2025.

The latest trailer unveiled the dangerous Oilwell Basin - an explosive environment where flaming geysers erupt without warning. This harsh landscape is home to terrifying new creatures including:
