Developed by Kautki Cave and published by Untold Tales, Flame Keeper brings rogue-lite action to Android. Initially revealed in December 2022, the game launched on PC in June 2024 following its Steam early access debut in December 2023.
Sacrifice your vitality to progress
You play as Ignis, a sentient coal fragment fighting to reignite the Eternal Flame across the decaying world of Orbis. This fiery warrior excels in combat but faces a grim tradeoff - the same life force that powers attacks also fuels the Fire Camps needed to restore light to the world.
The combat system delivers satisfying punch combos, flaming dashes, area stomps, and devastating multi-enemy finishers. Stamina management becomes crucial - reckless attacks leave you vulnerable when surrounded by foes.
As you advance through increasingly challenging biomes, enemy variety grows. The Bestiary provides useful intel on weaknesses, though some hard lessons await firsthand experience.
Character progression focuses on customizing Ignis through skill trees and passive abilities. Defeated enemies drop seeds for unlocking new moves while completing objectives earns powerful runes, enabling diverse playstyles.
Vulpis Village serves as a dynamic hub that evolves with your journey. Here you'll enhance abilities and structures using gathered resources between runs.
Can you reignite the Eternal Flame?
With its innovative premise and polished mechanics, Flame Keeper offers fresh rogue-lite excitement. The game is available on Google Play for $4.99, currently discounted to $3.49 during launch.
