Pokémon GO's New Year's Celebration: Get Ready for Festive Fun!

Pokémon GO is celebrating the New Year with its annual festive event, running from December 30th to January 1st, 2025! Expect themed bonuses, special Pokémon encounters, and plenty of ways to ring in the new year in style. This follows the Community Day event (December 21st-22nd) featuring returning Community Day Pokémon.

This New Year's event offers exciting rewards, including a whopping 2,025 XP for each Pokémon caught with an Excellent Throw! Enjoy festive fireworks and immersive New Year's decorations as you explore.

Expect increased appearances of festive Pokémon like Jigglypuff (with a ribbon), Hoothoot (in a New Year's outfit), and Wurmple (sporting a party hat), with a chance to encounter their Shiny forms.

Raids also get a festive makeover! One-star raids feature a snowflake-hat-wearing Pikachu, while three-star raids bring party-hat-adorned Raticate and Wobbuffet. Shiny rates are boosted for all three.
