"Pokémon Go Reintroduces Bug Out Event: Sizzlipede Debuts"

Author: Benjamin May 14,2025

The Bug Out event is making a thrilling comeback to Pokémon Go from March 26th to 30th, spotlighting an array of Bug-type Pokémon and introducing Sizzlipede and its evolution, Centiskorch. This event promises a packed schedule with wild encounters, raids, and bonuses, alongside fresh challenges to keep you engaged.

During the Bug Out event, Lure Modules will be key. Not only will they attract Sizzlipede, but they'll also increase the number of Pokémon appearing at a PokéStop if enough are caught using a single Lure Module.

You'll also enjoy double XP and additional Candy for Nice Throws or better, with enhanced chances of earning Candy XL for trainers level 31 and above. Shiny hunters will be thrilled with the improved odds of encountering Shiny Wurmple and Shiny Venipede.

The wild will be buzzing with Bug-types like Caterpie, Weedle, Wurmple, Nincada, Venipede, Dwebble, Joltik, Grubbin, Dewpider, and Nymble. Keep an eye out for the elusive Cutiefly as well.

ytIn one-star raids, you'll encounter Sizzlipede alongside Scyther and Nincada, while Beedrill, Scizor, and Kleavor dominate three-star raids. Completing event-themed Field Research tasks will grant you Mega Energy, Scatterbug Candy, and encounters with event Pokémon.

Don't miss out on the free Timed Research opportunity, which includes encounters with Shedinja, Sizzlipede, Kleavor, and more, along with a Lure Module. For those looking for extra rewards, there's a Paid Timed Research option available for $2 or the local equivalent, offering encounters with Heracross, Sizzlipede, and Kleavor, plus two Premium Battle Passes and an additional Lure Module.

New Collection Challenges will reward you with Stardust, XP, and Pokémon encounters, while PokéStop Showcases will celebrate event-themed Pokémon. Be sure to check out the in-game shop for the new Sizzlipede Boots and a Scolipede Jacket.
