Ubisoft has been grappling with a series of unfortunate leaks concerning its unannounced game, Project U. The leaks started in 2022, shortly after the closed beta testing phase began, and have resurfaced two years later, indicating that the project is still in development. Recently, following what seems to be a reboot of the game's development, an introductory cinematic has been leaked online.

The cinematic's origin and authenticity remain unconfirmed. It was shared by blogger Shaun Weber, known for leaking gaming content. Weber suggested that more Project U videos could surface if the game continues to be in development for an extended period.

Project U is anticipated to be a session-based cooperative shooter, inspired by the success of Helldivers 2. The leaked footage reveals a storyline centered around an alien machine invasion of Earth, where players assume the roles of chosen individuals fighting this extraterrestrial threat.

As of now, Ubisoft has not provided any official information regarding the formal announcement of Project U.
