Recursive Destruction: A Key Feature in Marvel Rivals

Marvel Rivals Season 1 unleashes new characters, maps, and modes, along with a fresh set of challenges rewarding players with freebies, including a Thor skin. This guide focuses on triggering Recursive Destruction in the Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown map.

What is Recursive Destruction?

The "Blood Moon Over the Big Apple" challenge introduces Recursive Destruction. This occurs when you destroy a Dracula-influenced object, and it reappears in its original state. However, not all destructible objects trigger this; only specific ones highlighted in red using Chrono Vision.

Activating Chrono Vision

Chrono Vision, accessed via the "B" key (keyboard) or the right D-pad button (console), highlights destructible objects in red. Only these red-highlighted objects will trigger Recursive Destruction.

Triggering Recursive Destruction in Midtown

To complete this challenge, play Quick Match (Midtown). Initially, no red-highlighted objects will be present. You must wait until the first checkpoint; two buildings will then appear, highlighted in red, capable of triggering Recursive Destruction.

Destroy these buildings multiple times. The reappearance might be missed in the heat of battle, but several hits should suffice. If unsuccessful, simply replay the match. After completing this challenge, focus on subsequent challenges involving Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman.
