Fans of the time-twisting RPG Reverse: 1999 have much to look forward to with an exciting livestream scheduled for April 18th. This event will unveil details about the upcoming 1.5th anniversary celebrations and offer a first look at the content for version 2.5, titled 'Showdown in Chinatown'.

The livestream will be hosted by Captain Regulus and the new character, Officer Liang Yue, both appearing in chibi form. Viewers can anticipate engaging giveaways, including codes, and a thrilling competition to win a Nintendo Switch 2.

While version 2.5 has already been extensively showcased to Chinese players, the international audience will get their first glimpse during the livestream. 'Showdown in Chinatown' promises to pay homage to Hong Kong martial arts films, featuring a gripping crime thriller narrative centered around the pursuit of an arcanist vigilante.

In terms of characters, Officer Liang Yue, skilled in martial arts, will be infiltrating the movie set of another new character, Noire. Noire, a wheelchair-bound perfectionist director, uses her unique ability to puppeteer her ideal actors against enemies. Additionally, Loggerhead, a character with a camera for a head, will also make an appearance.

Although the exact content for international versions of Reverse: 1999 will be revealed during the livestream, fans can expect numerous nods to the iconic works of the Shaw Brothers and John Woo in version 2.5.
