Sonic Rumble Launches Globally on Android

Sonic Rumble is now officially available on mobile and PC. This new party royale title from SEGA pits up to 32 players against each other in a fight for the top spot. SEGA collaborated with Rovio, the studio behind Angry Birds, on the game's worldwide marketing campaign.

The global launch culminates months of eager waiting. Sonic Rumble held its first closed beta test in the United States in May 2024. This was followed by a phased soft launch from June 2024 through July 2025. Today, players around the globe can finally join the rumble.

Enter Dr. Eggman's Strange Toy World!

The game transports you into Dr. Eggman's bizarre Toy World. Here, miniature versions of Sonic and his friends compete across perilous obstacle courses and intense battle arenas. Your primary objective is to gather the most Rings and earn the title of ultimate Rumbler.

Speed, spin, and bounce through iconic Sonic environments such as Green Hill Zone and Sky Sanctuary, mastering new moves to evade Dr. Eggman's devious traps.

You can unlock and customize toy figurines of beloved characters like Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, and Dr. Eggman himself. Equip each one with unique outfits, animations, emotes, and visual effects to make them your own.

Players who jump in during the launch celebration can claim exclusive in-game rewards. These include special character skins, stickers, and other collectibles to begin building your toybox collection. You can download Sonic Rumble now from the Google Play Store.

SEGA Has Major Plans for Sonic Rumble's Future

The developers have confirmed plans for crossover events that will introduce guest characters from other popular SEGA franchises. Future updates are also slated to add new stages, a premier top league within the Rumble Rankings, and the formidable BioLizard as a cooperative battle opponent.

Sonic Rumble represents a significant milestone for the Sonic series, as it's the first game to support full cross-play between mobile and PC platforms. Best of all, it's free to play, so there's nothing to lose by giving it a try!
