Squad Busters is set to undergo significant changes by eliminating the Win Streaks feature. This means players will no longer be able to climb the ladder of consecutive wins to earn extra rewards. The decision to end Win Streaks stems from the feature creating more pressure and frustration for players than a sense of achievement.
Why Is It Ending and When?
The Win Streaks system in Squad Busters is being discontinued because it was causing more stress than enjoyment for many players. The change will take effect starting December 16th. However, your highest streak will remain on your profile as a legacy achievement. To soften the blow of this removal, exclusive emotes will be awarded to players who reach specific milestones before the cutoff date. These milestones include 0-9, 10, 25, 50, and 100 wins.
Regarding the Coins spent on Win Streaks, the developers have decided against refunding them. They argue that Coins are crucial for acquiring more babies from Reward Chests, and refunding them would disrupt the game's balance, particularly between free-to-play and paying players.
As expected, the community has mixed feelings about this change. Some players are happy about the move away from a pay-to-win model, while others feel the compensation isn't sufficient.
