Square Enix Ends Romancing SaGa Re:universe

The global version of *Romancing SaGa Re:universe* is set to conclude its journey on December 2nd, 2024. Is this news surprising? That's for you to decide. However, the Japanese version will continue to thrive.

Two More Months Of Gameplay Left

As previously announced, the game's end of service is slated for December. Sales of items requiring paid jewels and Google Play Points exchanges have ceased following the last maintenance on September 29th, 2024.

Launched globally in June 2020, *Romancing SaGa Re:universe* has had a rollercoaster ride over four years. Despite its stunning visuals, robust sound design, and a generous gacha system, the game garnered mixed reviews. While the Japanese version remains a fan favorite, the global edition has had its share of supporters and detractors. The absence of key content updates, such as Solistia and 6-star character upgrades, which Japan received nearly a year ago, likely contributed to its fate.

What Are Your Thoughts?

Square Enix, the developers behind *Romancing SaGa Re:universe*, have already ended several titles this year, including *Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius* and two *Dragon Quest* mobile games. *Romancing SaGa Re:universe*, inspired by the classic SaGa series, offers a traditional turn-based RPG experience. With only two months left until the global version shuts down, now is your chance to experience it. If you're curious, you can download it from the Google Play Store.
