Saber Interactive has reassured fans that all of its previously announced projects are still actively in development, despite the lack of updates on high-profile titles like the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) remake. Following the announcement of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3, Saber's Chief Creative Officer, Tim Willits, took to Twitter to affirm the studio's ongoing efforts.
"Saber Interactive is one of the largest independent developers in the world," Willits stated. "We are working on numerous games across many different genres. Everything that we have talked about is still in development. We will share information on upcoming games when we have something cool to share."

The KOTOR remake, announced in 2021, has been a subject of much speculation and concern due to its tumultuous development journey, including multiple changes in leadership and apparent pauses in production. Despite these challenges, Saber Interactive CEO Matthew Karch confirmed in April 2024 that the project remained with Saber after its separation from Embracer Group and was still actively being developed.
"It's clear and it's obvious that we're working on this," Karch stated at the time. "It's been in the press numerous times. What I will say is that the game is alive and well, and we're dedicated to making sure we exceed consumer expectations."
Willits' recent statement, nearly a year after Karch's comments, reaffirms the ongoing development of the KOTOR remake, though fans are yet to see any updates beyond the initial announcement trailer.
In addition to the KOTOR remake, Saber Interactive is busy with other projects slated for release in the near future. Titles such as John Carpenter's Toxic Commando and Jurassic Park Survival are expected in 2025, though specific release dates remain undisclosed. The studio is also developing a new Turok game and an untitled project based on Avatar: The Last Airbender.
With the recent addition of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3 to their lineup, Saber Interactive continues to expand its portfolio. For more details on what to expect from Space Marine 3, including potential chapters and enemy factions, be sure to check out IGN's comprehensive coverage.
