This season introduces a frosty new environment: the tundra. Get ready to face off against a formidable lineup of creatures, including Lagombi, Volvidon, Somnacanth, and the fearsome Tigrex, all making their debut. Returning favorites like Barioth, Wulg, and Cortos will also appear. Tigrex will be a particularly challenging opponent in Hunt-a-thons, and may even make surprise appearances in the wild. Unlock these powerful monsters by completing urgent quests within Season 4's story chapters. The tundra awaits once you've finished the prologue.

A new weapon joins the hunt: the versatile Switch Axe. This two-in-one weapon offers powerful long-range attacks in Axe Mode, then switches to a devastating Sword Mode for close-quarters combat. Unlock the Switch Gauge by completing Chapter 2 of the pre-season story.

Season 4 also introduces customizable Palico companions. These helpful allies assist in gathering materials and scouting monsters. Players can personalize their Palicos with unique fur colors, facial features, and names. And for AR enthusiasts, take your Palico on real-world adventures and capture memorable photos.

Add a collaborative element to your hunts with the new Friend Cheering feature. Send cheers to your friends for a temporary health boost, although there's a daily limit to the amount of health you can gain this way.
