DC Studios has unveiled a new Superman trailer, offering a three-minute glimpse into the highly anticipated film.

Directed by James Gunn and arriving on July 11, 2025, the movie features a vast roster of superheroes and villains, many of whom get a clearer introduction in this trailer. Nathan Fillion's Guy Gardner, also known as Green Lantern, is seen effortlessly deflecting enemies with a wave of his hand. We also get a look at Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl and the most detailed reveal yet of The Engineer, portrayed by María Gabriela de Faría.

The trailer confirms that The Engineer is responsible for destroying the Fortress of Solitude's caretaker robots, which likely includes Kelex. (A prior trailer showed a grief-stricken Superman cradling Kelex after a confrontation.)

During the fight, Krypto the Superdog even delivers a flying punch to The Engineer. It seems Krypto isn't afraid to join the fray when it's time to take on villains.

We are also treated to more action from Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult) and Ultraman. Edi Gathegi's Mister Terrific and Anthony Carrigan's Rex Mason, also known as Metamorpho, have more prominent roles. The Hammer of Boravia, who was teased in yesterday's preview, makes his expected appearance in the full trailer. This brand new character, created by Gunn specifically for the film, is widely believed to be Ultraman in disguise.

The dynamic between Clark Kent and Lois Lane is central to the story, with Lois conducting an interview with a fully-suited Superman. The discussion appears to escalate into a heated argument, as they debate the ethics of Superman's controversial decision to intervene in a foreign conflict ("I wasn't representing anyone but myself... and the goal of doing good!"). In retaliation for Superman's actions in their country, The Hammer of Boravia launches an attack on Downtown Metropolis.

In another scene, likely from the battle against The Hammer of Boravia, a civilian helps pull Superman from a crater in the ground. This stands in stark contrast to other footage we've seen, where the public is shown shouting at Superman and even throwing objects in his direction.
