If you're eager to explore the vast world of Dead Sails without constantly facing death, choosing the right class is crucial. To save you from endless trial-and-error, I've crafted the ultimate Dead Rails class tier list—so you can skip the frustration and dive straight into the action.

This Dead Rails class tier list might stir some controversy, but hear me out. You simply can't go wrong with the Vampire, even after numerous updates. The Survivalist has also seen a significant rise in popularity recently. However, I'm still disappointed with the Zombie class, which remains underwhelming and can't even use Snake Oil. While teamwork plays a role, my focus here is primarily on individual performance. Remember, it's all about enjoying the game with friends, not just about min-maxing.

S Tier Dead Rails Classes

In the S tier, it's all about raw damage output. The Survivalist and Vampire are the clear frontrunners. While the Ironclad has its merits, these two classes stand out for their exceptional abilities.

Survivalist	75	The Survivalist starts with a Tomahawk and becomes more potent as your health drops. Even at full health, you deal more damage than most—although this might get nerfed soon. This class excels against tough enemies, delivering a punch that few others can match.
Vampire	75	The Vampire is all about speed and aggression. Faster than a horse or sprinting zombie, your melee attacks are devastating—most zombies fall in three swings. Sunlight is your enemy, so stick to the shadows. The Vampire Knife you spawn with heals you on every hit, making survival about maintaining relentless pressure.

A tier classes in Dead Rails are still excellent but not as strong for solo survival. While they offer solid damage and starting gear, they shine more in team play. The Ironclad stands out with its potential.

Priest	75	The Priest brings divine tools like Crucifixes and Holy Water, which are unsellable but effective against enemies. You're immune to lightning, making storms irrelevant. While not ideal for solo play, the Priest excels in larger groups, providing crucial support with their throwables.
Arsonist	20	The Arsonist excels in chaos with Molotovs and boosted fire damage, perfect for clearing groups quickly. Ideal for smaller areas where you can control the pace, and a horse enhances the hit-and-run strategy.

B Tier Dead Rails Classes

B tier classes are specialists, excelling in specific situations. The Doctor, for example, is valuable for its price and support capabilities, though not ideal for dealing damage. These classes are crucial in group settings.

Doctor	15	The Doctor is your lifeline, equipped with healing supplies and the ability to revive teammates at the cost of half their health. One of the most affordable classes, it's essential in group play. Selling bandages and snake oil can give you a $40 boost.
Miner	15	The Miner is perfect for resource gathering and nighttime exploration, with a helmet that lights the way and a Pickaxe that breaks ore quickly. They come with Coal to get started, making them one of the cheapest yet most useful classes for utility.

C Tier Dead Rails Classes

C tier classes offer good utility but are less effective for solo play. The Conductor is nearly essential in larger groups, while the Horse class is more of a novelty.

High Roller	50	The High Roller earns 1.5x money from bags, ideal for a quick start. However, you're more likely to be struck by lightning during storms, making it a high-risk, high-reward choice.

D Tier Dead Rails Classes

D tier classes represent the bottom of the barrel. The None class is a good starting point for beginners, while the Zombie remains disappointingly weak.
