World of Warcraft has introduced the Coward’s Azure Target, a stunning new back transmog available as a Twitch Drop to celebrate the return of Plunderstorm. By tuning into any World of Warcraft streamer on Twitch for a total of four hours between January 14 and February 4, players can claim this eye-catching back transmog and enhance their collection of loot from the event.

Plunderstorm, a thrilling battle royale game mode, was first introduced to World of Warcraft in early 2024. Now, a year later, it's making a comeback starting January 14, lasting about a month and offering both returning and new rewards through the Plunderstore.

However, World of Warcraft enthusiasts don't need to dive into Plunderstorm to snag an extra in-game item. The Coward’s Azure Target, a fresh back transmog, is up for grabs as a Twitch Drop during the first three weeks of Plunderstorm. From January 14 to February 4, watching four hours of any World of Warcraft streams on Twitch will secure this item for free, regardless of whether the streamers are playing Plunderstorm.

How to Get the World of Warcraft Plunderstorm Twitch Drop

  • First, connect your Battle.net and Twitch accounts through the Connections page on Twitch.
  • From January 14 at 10 AM PST to February 4 at 10 AM PST, watch any Twitch streamer in the World of Warcraft category for a total of four hours to earn the Coward’s Azure Target back transmog.
  • Claim the drop from your Twitch inventory page.
  • The Coward’s Azure Target will be automatically added to your Warband transmog Collections pane.

The Coward’s Azure Target is a unique transmog, previously unavailable in the game. It's a recolor of the Coward’s Violet Target, which was a free reward for completing the World of Warcraft Trading Post Traveler’s Log in August 2024. Although the original wasn't a fan favorite, the chance to earn free items through Twitch Drops is always welcome.

For those not thrilled by this particular Twitch Drop, World of Warcraft has more in store. Alongside the rewards from Plunderstorm, the upcoming Patch 11.1 for World of Warcraft: The War Within will introduce customizable campsites on the character select screen, a feature eagerly anticipated by players. Additionally, there's likely to be another exciting Twitch Drop to celebrate Patch 11.1, so keep an eye out for more free items to enhance your journey to Undermine.
